(Free admission) After studying Art History and Visual Arts at the University of Paris 1, she continued her training in graphic design.

Her first theme of artistic exploration was mad cows, in the form of more or less classical portraits of bovids in oil and acrylic, on wood, paper or canvas, before color rapidly became the basis of her research. It was only natural that she should move on to abstraction.

Superimposing colors, preferably vivid and saturated, feeling their vibrations, leaving traces on paper or canvas, letting herself be carried away by the gesture and playing with transparencies is her trademark and creative trademark.

In the "A perte de |ma| vue" series, the plastic journey was a form of catharsis, in which the declension of abstract celestial landscapesvenol landscapes were used to evoke the emotions triggered by estrangement, disappearance, absence and loss. The transparent work on offset paper echoed the evanescence of thoughts, while the denser, more opaque rendering on canvas evoked a more corporeal feeling.

Then, little by little, the landscape imposed itself: cliffs, mountains, sea, foreshore... Far from working on the motif, Frédérique Jeanne reinterprets light, color and space. As a result, time stops... and windows to imaginary worlds open... liberating!

No doubt through professional deformation, her painting is particularly graphic. It generally begins with a background, often plain, but with a deliberately discernible tool mark. Then she lays down the general masses, sometimes drawn beforehand, made of solid colors, superimposed thin layers that reveal transparencies, and finally the details.

As for the painters who inspire her, Rothko makes her cry, Vallotton thrills her and Hockney brings her joy!
